Adding more attic insulation cannot accomplish this.  Insulation only "R"esists the flow of heat.

Thermal Control Membranetm

Thermal Control Membrane (TCM), is a multi-layered radiant barrier with an air space between each layer.  This air space is why our products outperform all other radiant barrier products and the basis for our patents.

TCM would be used instead of RBS Chips in conventionally framed attics which makes it easier to install.  For attics with trusses we recommend using RBS Chips.

TCM is also an excellent method for reducing heat flow in walls, ducts, garage doors, garage ceilings, dog houses, cars, boats/plane/trains...applications are only limited by your imagination.
